About Jaclyn
I’m a guitarist and tutor with a background in playing live and working within band settings, and I bring that real-world experience into every lesson I teach.
A lot of what I focus on comes from actually being on stage and in rehearsal rooms—tight timing, solid technique, playing with feel, and knowing how to lock in with other musicians. I keep lessons practical and music-first, usually building things around songs people actually want to play while making sure the fundamentals are really solid underneath it all.
I don’t overcomplicate things. My approach is straightforward: make you a better, more confident player in a way that actually translates to real playing situations—whether that’s jamming with friends, writing your own stuff, or playing live.
Lessons are relaxed but focused, and you’ll always leave knowing exactly what to work on next so you can keep progressing between sessions without guessing.
At the end of the day, I want you to feel like you can pick up a guitar and hold your own in any musical setting.

Perfect! Jaclyn was friendly, patient and taught my beginner daughter a few bars of familiar songs - which for a first lesson was great because my daughter could walk away and actually play something she recognized.
