About Mira

Wherever you are in your studies, struggling to find your footing, pushing for a higher grade, or trying to reach your absolute best, I am here to help you get there.

I have been supporting students at Bachelor's, Master's and PhD level for over 14 years, across some of the world's leading universities including Cambridge, UCL, Imperial, Warwick, Liverpool and Salford in the UK, and internationally at Stanford, L'ETS Montreal, UQAM and the University of Helsinki. My students come from all over the world including the UK, China, Japan, South Korea, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Australia and America and every one of them brings a different background, a different way of thinking, and a different set of challenges. That is exactly what I find interesting.

What I bring to every session

I am a British academic, a published researcher, a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and recognised by the Royal Academy of Engineering as Global Talent of Exceptional Promise (2024). I hold a PhD in Strategic Management and Digital Transformation of the Built Environment from the University of Liverpool, with supervision spanning three schools: management, engineering and design.

Before returning to academia, I spent years in senior leadership roles at global engineering organisations, directing multi-million-pound R&D programmes. I understand how ideas connect to the real world and I help students make that connection in their own work too.

I have designed and delivered five MSc modules independently, supervised 44 dissertations and doctoral theses, and published peer-reviewed research in leading academic journals. But what I am most proud of is the feedback my students give me — consistently outstanding, year after year.
I understand what it feels like to struggle

I have dyslexia. And yet I achieved distinctions across all my own education.

I tell students this not to impress, but because it matters: I know from the inside what it feels like when learning does not come easily. I know the self-doubt, the frustration, the effort it takes to keep going. That experience shapes everything about how I teach. I am patient, I am encouraging, and I know how to spot exactly where someone is stuck and how to move them forward.

I work with students with dyslexia, ADHD, autism, ASD and a range of other learning profiles, and I adapt every session to the individual in front of me.

I listen first. I find out where you are, what you are trying to achieve, and what is getting in the way. Then we work on it, practically, specifically, at a pace that suits you.

The gaps I close are the ones costing you marks right now. Your dissertation methodology feels shaky but you cannot pinpoint why. Your supervisor keeps writing "lacks criticality" and you do not know what that means. Feedback arrives that makes no sense. These are not gaps in your knowledge. They are gaps in your understanding of how the system works or learning abilities and all this can be learned and improved.

My approach draws on positive reinforcement, systems thinking and Activity Theory. I will help you decode what your examiner actually rewards and build the intellectual architecture that brings you confidence and progress.

I will not write for you. But I will enable you with new approaches to how you think and work. And that changes everything.

Students consistently tell me that after working together they feel not just clearer, but more confident and that I 'bring the best in them' . That is what I am here for.
