About Summer
Hello! My name is Summer. I’m 18 years old and graduated high school in 2025. I’m excited to tutor Japanese and help learners of all ages begin their journey with this beautiful language. I earned a Level 3 Japanese endorsement in 2024, and I use Japanese every day when speaking with my Japanese family, which has helped me stay connected to both the language and the culture. Japanese has always been an important part of my life, and I’d love to share what I’ve learned—whether it’s basic grammar, pronunciation, everyday phrases, or cultural insights. My goal is to create a supportive and enjoyable learning environment where beginners can build confidence and develop a strong foundation. I look forward to helping you discover the joy of learning Japanese!

This is my first time formally teaching Japanese, but over the years I’ve helped family members and friends with writing, pronunciation, and reading, consistently receiving positive feedback on my tutoring. I focus on teaching entry-level Japanese to those who are just beginning to learn the language. Building a strong foundation in grammar and pronunciation is essential before moving on to more advanced levels, and I’m here to guide you through that process. My lessons are open to learners of all ages, and no prior experience with Japanese is required!
