About Kira
I am a passionate and dedicated guitarist with a deep love for music and teaching. My journey with the guitar began in my early years, sparked by a fascination with its ability to evoke emotions and convey stories through sound. Over time, I have honed my skills through extensive practice, formal training, and exploration of various musical genres including Rock, Blues, Jazz, Folk, and Latin.
With four years of teaching experience, I have had the privilege of guiding students of all ages and skill levels on their own musical paths. My teaching philosophy revolves around creating a supportive and inspiring environment where students can explore their musical interests and develop their talents to their fullest potential. I believe in tailoring lessons to meet the unique needs and goals of each student, whether they are beginners starting their musical journey or advanced players seeking to refine their technique and expand their repertoire.
In my lessons, I emphasize not only technical proficiency but also creativity, musical expression, and performance skills. I encourage my students to discover their own musical voice, experiment with different styles, and explore improvisation and composition. Through a combination of structured exercises, practical playing, and theoretical knowledge, I aim to provide a comprehensive musical education that prepares students for both personal enjoyment and professional endeavors in music.
Outside of teaching, I am actively engaged in the music community as a performer and collaborator. I participate in live performances, recording sessions, and musical projects, which continually inspire and inform my teaching practices. This practical experience allows me to share real-world insights, techniques, and challenges with my students, enhancing their learning experience. Ultimately, my goal as a teacher is to ignite a lifelong passion for music in my students and empower them with the skills and confidence to express themselves through the guitar.
