About Maryam
I’m a Harvard Anthropology graduate, a former writing tutor at Wellesley College, and a first-prize winner for academic writing at MIT. My thesis at Harvard was the most in-depth piece I’ve ever written—it taught me how to navigate research, sharpen my ideas, and cite with precision. But more than anything, it gave me a lasting appreciation for the writing process. That said, I’ve been in your shoes too. I used to love thinking deeply and exploring ideas in my head, but when it came time to write, I’d either feel overwhelmed by too many competing thoughts or strip everything down so much that nothing was left. Writing didn’t come easily at first—but with time and support, I found my rhythm. Now, I want to help others do the same. I meet students where they are—whether you’re overwhelmed by structure, struggling with clarity, or convinced you “hate writing.” My favorite moments are when those students walk away saying, “I’ve got this.” I’ve experienced the US, British, and now New Zealand education systems firsthand, and I understand how to navigate the different expectations, formats, and writing styles they demand. Whether you're applying to uni, writing a thesis, or prepping for publication, I can help you meet your goals with confidence. In addition to creative and academic writing support, I also offer CV reviews, science paper editing, and job application guidance. Whether it’s your voice, your future, or your confidence you're building—I’m here to help you get there.

Maryam helped me with my Master’s thesis in international business, and honestly, I don’t know how I would’ve gotten through it without her. She has this great way of breaking things down and helping you see where your arguments can be clearer or stronger, without ever making you feel overwhelmed or off-track.
What I appreciated most was how she really took the time to understand what I was trying to say. Her feedback was always spot-on, and she helped with everything from tightening up the structure to making the writing flow better. She was also super reliable and easy to communicate with, which made a stressful time a lot more manageable.Maryam helped me with my thesis, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. She was able to quickly understand the scope and depth of my research, offering not only structural and editorial feedback but also critical insights that sharpened my arguments and improved the clarity of my writing. Her background in both scientific research and humanities gave her a unique ability to bridge technical content with clear, compelling expression.
Maryam’s attention to detail, responsiveness, and calm, encouraging manner made the entire process far less stressful. She met every deadline we set, often going above and beyond what was asked. Whether it was refining awkward phrasing, ensuring consistency in terminology, or questioning logic gaps, her input elevated the overall quality of my work.View more recommendations
