I have always had an insatiable passion for science, a deep appreciation for beauty in mathematics and a real love of sharing knowledge. I graduated 5 years ago with a first class MSci in Theoretical Physics from Queen Mary, University of London, and since then I have built up years of teaching experience as both a graduate teaching assistant for maths, as well as as a tutor for over 80 tutees both face to face and online with great success. I have tutored students from KS3 all the way up to 3rd year Mathematics. I have extensive experience of the new 9-1 GCSE and A-level curriculum for both Physics and Mathematics, from my in school teaching, my university degree and from working with previous tutees. I also have worked with students with specific learning difficulties, full time, covering 12 advance mathematics modules including Group Theory, Number Theory and Linear Algebra to name but a few.
Tutoring maths and physics, and facilitating those, 'oh yeah' moments is what I really do love about my job.
Since the start of the academic year 2016/2017 I have tutored many students online, using Tutorhub as well as other online classroom environments. I helped an oxford entry student with their MAT entry exams. Another current student I have is in year 6, who I helped complete their GCSE in maths last year and now we are working on an A-level in mathematics, where I coordinate the entire course material comprehensively. I am a verified maths doctor, and have taken students, GCSE and A level, and have helped over 30 students with their problems in mathematics through that website alone.
Working online I can take apart complex mathematical or scientific concepts and put them together using verbal, visual and interactive teaching methods that are most suitable for the student. We can work through exam papers, create annotated diagrams and graphs, and share learning resources, among many other things. I am 100% committed to all my students, and work hard in preparing and organising my sessions to work with them as a team to achieve there full potential.
