About Shana
My experience Is a VP executive in banking. I also teach homeschool, test prep, tutor elementary and middle school students some with learning disabilities in all subjects. I started working with kids and students 13 years ago, and I love it! Everyone learns differently, so the key is to understand what your easiest way to learn something is. Listen, watch, projects, read, etc... I’ll plan your lesson plan around you specifically to be more successful and strengthen your abilities to become a top performer!

My teaching method is to learn the individual students best way of learning. Is it sight, sound, using their hands, reading, or repetition? What does the student know about the lesson? Are they behind, caught up, or even advanced? After I know this information, I form my lesson plan around the student. I will use resource sheets to review together if needed requiring they take notes during the Tudor session. I would then start building on the lesson section by section while reviewing each step with practice problems to make sure the student is understanding and retaining info. At this point, I would follow up with any final questions from the student for clarification. I would also provide extra practice problems worked out to review later on their own time and give the student my email to have the ability to follow up with any additional questions or if help was needed.
