I have been playing music for 18 years. I studied with different teachers and had the luxury of learning the oud under the great master Khalid Mohammed Ali.

About Mostafa
I started learning guitar in Iraq in 2008. I studied classical guitar with different teachers and learned valuable lessons from each of them. Later on I found the oud to be a very expressive instrument and I started learning about the instrument and the maqam of Arabic Music. Later I had the privilege to study under the guidance of the oud virtuoso Khalid Mohammed Ali and after that I started teaching oud to students. I began my musical journey in Iraq in 2008, where I started learning classical guitar and studied with several teachers, gaining valuable technical and musical foundations from each of them. Over time, I became deeply drawn to the oud for its expressive depth and its central role in Arabic music. This led me to focus on the oud and to study the maqamat system and stylistic traditions of Arabic music. I later had the privilege of studying under the guidance of the renowned oud virtuoso Khalid Mohammed Ali. Following this experience, I began teaching oud to students, focusing on building strong fundamentals, musical understanding, and expressive performance, while guiding students progressively from beginner to advanced levels.

Teaching oud by progressing gradually from the very beginning to the advanced level. The requirements for the lessons are an instrument and Sibelius software (free version). Each lesson contains homework that must be completed by the student (a review can be done by me before starting the next lesson). In order to achieve the best results, each homework assignment must be completed with a proficiency of at least 70% before moving on to new homework.
