I have a Diploma in Teaching Yoga with additional CPD in teaching older and pre and postnatal clients. I offer in-person classes at Hornchurch Library, and am available for 1:1 or online classes.

About Heather
I focus on hatha yoga to encourage people to create time for themselves and move one breath at a time. I am passionate about making my classes inclusive and recognise that everyone can benefit from yoga. My classes are creative and I want people to be able to explore movement and understand the importance of staying active for physical and mental health. In my personal practice, I also do vinyasa and last year joined paddle board yoga classes at Stubbers Activity Centre. I hold a qualification in Level 3 Diploma in Yoga from Health and Fitness Education, including Level 3 in Teaching Yoga for Older Participants. I am a qualified First Aider and hold valid insurance through Insure 4 Sport.

My classes are one hour and focus on hatha yoga starting with mobility and a warm-up before moving to main asanas (which in hatha yoga are held). After the main phase of the class there will be pranayama (breathing techniques) and relaxation to end the class. Modifications are offered and everything is an invitation - so you can do what is needed that day. Asanas can be modified for people who may need this and I have an additional qualification in teaching yoga for the older population. Classes are 18+ and suitable for beginners.

I had an absolutely amazing yoga class with Heather! I'd been feeling stressed all day but after the yoga class I felt calm, relaxed and positive. All the positions were very well explained and I also loved the calming music she used. I will definitely be coming back!
I’m new to yoga and I attended Heather’s first class. She explained the moves very well and gave me the confidence to try the different poses, at my own pace. She was very encouraging and also was quick to say that only go as far as you can, it’s all about taking time for yourself. She also has a very soothing voice and a calm, confident manner.
