About Akim Leon
Hello! My name is Akim Leon, and I’m currently studying Business Finance at Sunway College. I’m passionate about learning and helping others succeed academically. My goal as a tutor is to create a comfortable and encouraging learning space where students feel confident to ask questions and make progress at their own pace. I have practical work experience as a house cleaner and shop worker in small grocery stores and nightclubs, which has taught me valuable skills such as discipline, patience, and strong communication. These qualities have helped me connect with people from different backgrounds and adapt my teaching to suit each student’s needs. As a tutor, I believe in making lessons engaging and interactive. I use real-life examples to explain complex ideas, especially in subjects like Business, English, and Mathematics. I focus on helping students truly understand concepts instead of memorizing them, and I’m always ready to adjust my approach to fit the student’s learning style. My mission is to inspire confidence and make learning an enjoyable journey that leads to real improvement and long-term success

My teaching approach is based on patience, understanding, and student participation. I always start by identifying the learner’s strengths and areas that need improvement, then I create a simple and personalized plan that makes learning easier and more enjoyable.
I use real-life examples, short exercises, and discussions to help students understand the topic deeply instead of just memorizing. My lessons are interactive, where students are free to ask questions and practice until they feel confident.
Each session usually lasts between 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the student’s focus and schedule. I also provide short review tasks to help them keep improving between lessons.
I have experience helping students at secondary and college levels in subjects like English, Mathematics, and Business Studies. My goal is to make every student feel confident and motivated to reach their academic goals.
My lessons are suitable for teenagers, college students, and adults who want to improve their understanding or performance in these subjects
