About Cate
I am approachable and caring, I understand what it feels like to be struggling with a subject or to be behind in a subject and not know who to turn to and ask for help. I will support you through your maths learning, helping you to see the purpose in why we are learning a subject and where it fits into the maths curriculum. Above all, I want students to feel at ease in lessons and not be worried about questions they want to ask or how far behind they are on a subject. We can start at the very beginning if you want and work up from there.

I am available to teach GCSE and A-level Maths. I am friendly and approachable and strongly believe there are no 'stupid questions'. I want my students to feel comfortable to ask if they are struggling to understand and need more help. I love maths and want my students to see that maths can be fun and help remove some of the anxieties and fear students may have felt in the past about maths. I taught engineering maths as a PhD student, I working as SEND learning support in a college and I'm currently doing a PGCE to teach maths and engineering. Lesson length will be 45 mins.
