I have a BS in Nutrition and a MS in Animal Sciences. I’m able to tutor science up to high school level ( college level for biology) and math up to algebra.

I received my MS in 2016, BS in 2014. I have experience teaching water quality to a high school Science Olympiad team. I’ve TAed for two undergraduate classes (both on small animals and one featuring an anatomy lab component)

First evaluating where the student is, and what they’re not understanding in the subject. Then trying to teach the subject in a way that is both interesting and makes sense given things that the student already knows or in terms that are more relevant to their interests. I try to give an understanding as to why the subject and what I’m teaching them is important in everyday life. I tend to utilize PowerPoint for lectures, but for tutoring individually I find it more useful to work one-on-one and explain or write out what I’m teaching.
