About Cloris
I believe that every country and individual needs to keep an open mind, interact with the world, and connect with others. Understanding different cultures can create opportunities for us and make us better people.
For over a decade, I worked as the chief writer at one of the top magazines in China. I was responsible for reporting on international news, which took me to Moscow to cover elections, to countries like Ukraine and Uzbekistan to understand how they transformed after the dissolution of the Soviet Union, and to Rio de Janeiro to interview samba schools. I also visited places like Djibouti and Sri Lanka to see how they pinned their hopes on transforming their countries through ports.
This summer, I moved from Beijing to live in Tokyo, Japan. I am currently a beginner in Japanese. I deeply understand the importance of language in understanding a culture. I hope I can help you.

I will help you express your views better in Chinese. After the class, I will provide notes for your review. I hope you can not only improve your Chinese skills but also gain more information about China.
------Writing Practice. You will have writing assignments in advance. You can also suggest topics for these assignments. Please submit your assignments to me before the lesson. During the lesson, I will correct your grammar errors and provide you with more sophisticated ways of expression. Additionally, based on the assignments, I will provide supplementary reading materials for you to review after the lesson.
