About Chelsi
My students are my greatest inspiration and I enjoy teaching because there is nothing better than witnessing someone improve on a skill that once made them doubt themselves. I am extremely proud to say that many of my past students still reach out to me when they need help or even to show off their accomplishments, and I am honoured to be a part of that journey.
Outside of teaching, I am a competitive dancer who loves being active, meeting new people and exploring new places!

My lessons and teaching styles vary, as I adjust them according to the topic(s) and what my students' respond to best but a typical lesson from me would generally go as follows: I begin by introducing the topic(s) that will be taught, and why it is important to learn about it/them. I elicit responses from my students in order to gage whether they already have an understanding of the topics, and if so, how deep that understanding goes. I then explain key themes and use examples and anecdotes where I can to ensure students really understand the concepts, rather than just memorise them. I try to use a variety of resources to keep students engaged and above all, encourage my students to ask questions and try to instil confidence in them. I usually end my lessons with some form of practice so that I can see which areas I need to be worked on in the next lesson, and keep track of my students' progress.
