About Alina
I'm a student at a Russell Group university in the UK and I am currently studying Maths and Philosophy at the Masters level. I started my tutoring journey when I started secondary school as I sat and passed my Maths GCSE (with the highest grade at that level and with a score of 221/240) when I was only in year 6. I have always been passionate about maths and wish to support other brilliant young students to reach their full potential. I hope to inspire my students and support them with their academic needs.

I can teach students for the following: 11+ (maths, English and non verbal reasoning), GCSE (maths or physics), A-Level (maths) and have been doing this for the past 7 years successfully. Students I have previously taught have raised their grades from Cs to A*s or 5s to 9s with the support and guidance I'd provided them with.
I tutor remotely using Microsoft Teams and a virtual whiteboard that I stream to students, but they are welcome to access the whiteboard if they have the equipment (a tablet with a stylus or a touchscreen device). There is no precedent for using one's camera - it is the student's preference.
I am punctual and flexible with the client's timetable, though I prefer tutoring during weekday evenings and Saturdays.
I offer a free 1-hour trial session to get to know the client I'm working with, the student and their needs, their exam board & syllabus to discuss how I may best support them.
For students, sessions are typically 1 or 2 hours long, but this is flexible.
