About Alistair
I teach both GCSE & A Level Geography week-in, week-out, with students who often attain the very highest grades. I have 100% 5* reviews (well over twenty) from another tuition platform. Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, and they often fly by. I tutor GCSE Geography, but most often it is A Level students with whom I work.
I'm really passionate about my subject and with significant experience as an examiner for one of the main exam boards, I am able to provide you with crucial insights into successful exam technique, whilst also providing high-quality resources, ready-made lessons and revision ideas that I will tailor to your specific needs. When appropriate, I can send study support packs through the post to help you prepare for your exams and the feedback that I've had about these resources is overwhelmingly positive. Highly personalised lessons, depending on what you require. Geography at A Level (& GCSE) requires a direct writing style that I often help students refine through exam question practice, using past papers, official mark schemes and examiner reports, with top grade exemplar answers direct from the exam board as guidance. Others prefer to focus on subject content (often Coasts or Carbon cycles) but most students ask for a little of both exam technique and teaching. I currently teach in a highly successful school, with our sixth form results in the top 10% nationally.
