About Anisa
Hi! I’m Anisa and I love to help everyone do better in their studies as it takes me back to when I was in secondary during my GCSEs with not much support, with the vision that once I get myself the best grades that i can, I can encourage others to do the same. When i was taking my own GCSEs, I also worked alongside one of my friends where i mentored him in certain areas of English and Maths that he particularly struggled with, for example analysis of poetry and expansion of triple brackets, allowing him to achieve amazing grades as he was able to think critically and analyse poems in depth and also making me far more confident knowing that I could teach someone else content, so it was clear i knew that i could also do it myself in the exam.

As soon as i turned 16, I searched for my first part time job where i work only on certain Saturdays when required, as a tutor to children aged from 4-16, at a local learning hub in close proximity to my house. I teach both English and Maths, including having to set chapter tests to ensure my students had consolidated their learning so that they were able to move onto higher work, and also being the first time where i learnt how to efficiently mark students’ work and provide necessary feedback on what they did well and how they could do even better. This gave me first hand exposure to how a tutor must use tailored approaches for individual students with different capabilities, allowing me to become far more confident in my teaching style.
