About Danai
As a native Greek girl, I have a deep experience of not only Greek language, but Greek culture and history as well. Also, as a physics student at Imperial College London, I practise maths and physics every day, and have a particular love for labs and the experimental side of physics. I was born and raised in Athens, Greece. I followed the Greek educational system at Athens College. However, since I wanted to come and study in the UK, I chose to do A-Levels at the same time as my Greek school, which I enjoyed a lot and did not want to miss out on. I graduated in the end with both the Greek "Apolytirion" (19.9/20) and three A levels (A*A*A). My teaching experience so far has been on a small scale, tutoring my younger brother before his exams and helping younger students with past papers. My teaching style is a mix of rigorous and simplified explanation of the phenomena. I focus a lot on solving exercises and applying the knowledge, instead of plain memorising. Since I have had two types of secondary school education (Greek and A-Levels), I try to combine the best of the two systems to provide a more thorough understanding. Danai is a very hard working and conscientious individual, who has excellent interpersonal skills. She is a very intelligent individual who has excelled in her academic pursuits. She will be a valued member of the teaching team as she applies herself in everything that she does.
Danai is extremely well suited to this job. From experience I can say that she is friendly, kind and always happy to put in the extra effort to help. As a tutor, she is very patient and is able to explain things in a clear and concise manner, especially when it comes to going through the steps in difficult problems. Having studied in Greece and the UK, Danai is fluent in Greek and English and is able to tutor students from both education systems. This makes her ideal for the job.
