Hello! My name is Austin and I have been teaching physics for over 7 years. I have experience teaching physics at levels ranging from elementary school to advanced undergraduate.

About Austin
I have a bachelor’s degree in physics from UC Berkeley and a physics PhD from NYU. During my time at both institutions I have taught undergraduate classes including introduction to astrophysics, quantum mechanics, and computational physics. During the semesters that I taught I enjoyed developing a relationship with my students and received positive reviews from them after the classes finished.

When I first encountered physics I was taught how to memorize equations. After more experience I realized that a fundamental understanding is a powerful way of viewing the natural world. I teach to develop physical intuition in a way that also translates to an understanding of equations and success on homework and examinations. I teach problem solving techniques and how to ask the important questions.
