About Olamide
Hello, my name is Olamide but you can simply call me 'Ola'. I am a dedicated and passionate individual with experience in fostering creativity and artistic expression in students of all ages and skill levels through my work at a local gallery. I currently volunteer at Creative Support, where I teach various art techniques and help individuals use artistic expression as a therapeutic and empowering tool. I specialise in teaching a wide range of mediums, from foundational drawing and painting techniques to modern digital art tools and mixed media exploration. My teaching philosophy is rooted in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident to experiment and develop their own unique artistic voice. My experience in both a gallery setting and my volunteer work has honed my ability to provide personalised instruction and hands-on guidance, adapting lessons to each student's individual goals and learning style, and offering constructive feedback every step of the way. Outside of tutoring, I am an active artist involved in the local art community and continually develop my own skills to bring fresh perspectives to my teaching. I am committed to helping my students build technical skills, explore art history, and, most importantly, have fun with the creative process. I am now excited to bring this personalised, hands-on experience to an online format.
