About Sheriff
I am a fully qualified registered doctor with three years of tutoring and mentoring experience. I have supported students hoping to study Medicine, as well as those working through GCSE and A-level science and maths. I’ve also worked with children of varying ages and ability levels.
I genuinely enjoy helping students grow in confidence and clarity. I invest a great deal of time and care into every student I teach, and I take pride in creating lessons that are engaging, tailored, and easy to understand.
I’m articulate, patient and supportive, with a strong ability to identify a student’s strengths and learning gaps, then help them build the skills they need to overcome challenges.
I have extensive experience working with students with learning differences, including ADHD and autism. I create a safe, non-judgemental environment where learning feels calm, guided, and pressure-free

I strongly believe in an individualised approach to teaching. During the first session, I carry out a gentle assessment of the student’s current ability, confidence, and attitude towards learning. This helps me understand exactly where they are and what type of support they need.
From there, I work with the student (and parent, where appropriate) to create a clear, goal-focused learning plan with realistic timelines and checkpoints.
I’ve found that students learn best when lessons are enjoyable and engaging, and struggle most when they feel bored or overwhelmed. To overcome this, I use a variety of teaching methods and learning styles, keeping sessions both interesting and appropriately challenging.
Each week, we revisit our goals and reflect on progress together. I always keep parents informed and involved, so they feel confident about how their child is developing.
I genuinely love what I do, and I take real pride in building rapport with my students. My aim is to help them grow into confident, capable learners performing at the best of their abilities.
