About Kayla
I want to teach because I want to help empower learners to reach their goals in an environment where they feel safe and supported. Teaching has always been a passion of mine, as well as working with children. I have always led a life where empathy and kindness have been at the heart of everything and this is something I strive to carry with me while I teach.

I think my leading teaching and life philosophy is to lead with empathy. I have a kind demeanour when I teach and focus on empowering learners so they feel comfortable and confident. I like to see learners as their own and base techniques off of each. A typical lesson would last about an hour. I have experience working with primary learners, with most experience with children from ages 4-9, both in a practicum environment and as a camp counsellor. I have also worked with learners from the ages of 11-13. Ultimately, I am very passionate about helping children learn and want to create a safe environment where they can thrive.
