About Madeleine
I am a first year undergraduate at Edinburgh University, studying French and History as a joint honours. I have always been a confident student, starting as an academic scholar at prep school. I received nine A*s and one A in my iGCSEs. I achieved four A levels, two A*s in English and History along with two As in French and Philosophy. At university I have thus far maintained an average of a 1st.
I have a very strong exam technique, particularly with regard to essays. I have tutored informally throughout school and enjoy discussing subjects so as to ensure maximum understanding. I really enjoy seeing tracking the process and development of tutees. I also had a tutor for science at GCSE so I therefore appreciate what is necessary to be a good tutor.

I thoroughly enjoyed being taught by Maddie - she not only has a kind and helpful character, but her knowledge in the subject helped me to exceed in English. Although I had been predicted a B at GCSE, I in fact got an A. I can't thank Maddie enough for her work - I wouldn't have been able to do it without her!
