About Jo
I've been in love with words since I was a child, and nothing makes me happy like inspiring that love in other individuals. Offering students insight into how language flows and the clever ways in which writers play with it brings me a great sense of joy - there's no comfort as warming as a good book that you can lose yourself in. I think a good understanding of the written word is fundamental to success in our modern world, and that's what I want to help students of all ages achieve. Communication is at the cornerstone of our world; I want to make it easy for you.

I offer lessons of 30 minutes to an hour, and I am very flexible in how we approach the subject. As the student, you will be in control of what areas you would like to cover, and where you want help. I will offer guidance on all areas where I see weaknesses and opportunities to improve. I provide supportive, friendly, warm tutelage and I am very approachable. I have helped students get into top London schools, allowing them to excel at the 11+ exam, and have seen students get offers from all their top choices. I provide comprehensive, thorough lessons and offer all the support needed to excel in this subject. I will work with any age group, and I have spent 8 years offering creative writing guidance, training, and reading classes for younger students. I'm approachable, dependable, and I listen thoroughly to everything students need. I am experienced in working with children who have ADHD, autism, and other learning difficulties, and take an understanding, supportive approach.
