About Craigshon
Hello! My name is Craigshon, and I am an educator, tutor, and academic coach with more than seven years of experience helping learners build skills, confidence, and independence. I studied English Education at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Throughout my career, I have worked in classrooms, tutoring centers, academic intervention programs, and one-on-one tutoring settings. I have supported elementary, middle school, high school, college, and adult learners across a variety of academic areas, including reading, writing, English, study skills, GED preparation, vocabulary development, grammar, and academic success strategies.
I am passionate about education and committed to helping learners overcome challenges, recognize their strengths, and reach their full potential. My experience working with diverse student populations has taught me the importance of patience, flexibility, and building strong relationships with learners and families.
I enjoy helping students gain confidence in their abilities and discover that they are capable of achieving more than they may have thought possible. I look forward to the opportunity to support you on your educational journey.

My teaching philosophy is simple: every learner deserves instruction that is tailored to their individual strengths, challenges, learning styles, and goals. I believe that meaningful learning happens when students feel supported, understood, and empowered to take an active role in their growth.
My sessions are engaging, encouraging, and personalized. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I adapt my methods to meet each learner’s unique needs. Some students benefit from strengthening foundational skills, while others need support with organization, confidence, study strategies, or academic habits.
I strive to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing new skills. Together, we focus not only on completing assignments and preparing for assessments but also on building the critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent learning skills that contribute to long-term success.
Whether you are seeking support with reading comprehension, writing, study skills, academic coaching, or GED preparation, my goal is to help you build confidence, achieve your goals, and become a more successful learner.
