I have been friends with Julia for eleven years. We were students living together at university and have kept in touch ever since. In all the time I have known Julia, she has been calm, conscientious and extremely hard working. She is also very self determined and brave. Despite the distance it would mean away from family and friends she took the immense step to move on her own to Scotland in 2011. Since then she has built a strong career in the museum and arts sector. She now has extensive experience and expertise in teaching history; whether that is in leading school groups or creating museum attractions and exhibitions. Her dedication to learning and teaching history is absolute. In 2015 Julia made the commitment to combine the stresses of working with undertaking a Masters in Museum curation Leicester. In 2018 she passed with merit. An achievement which is huge testament to her patience, knowledge and capability. All of which are the qualities needed for any of the best teachers. Julia is an engaging, knowledgeable historian, with a knack for nurturing creativity and cementing learning. Her passion for history is infectious and you don't realise how much you take onboard while having fun doing the activities Julia comes up with. She is reliable, sincere and thorough.
