About Tasneem
I have always had a passion for teaching since I was young. I’ve always picked up teaching in my extracurricular activities, during my whole timeline of education, including university. I believe knowledge to be so powerful and it can get you so far. Having studied BSc Biomedical Science and attaining a First Class Honours at an undergraduate level, I know exactly what it takes to achieve and strive for those high grades. In my science GCSEs, I attained a 9.8 which reinforces that my study techniques do work. I am heavy on the ideology that studying shouldn’t feel like a chore, but a hobby - and I hope I can get this ideology across :).

My lessons focus on active recall primarily. I believe learning shouldn’t feel like a task, but should feel like an endeavour. The first 10 minutes I will spend familiarising myself with the student and learning what they find best when it comes to learning. I particularly like doing quizzes and practice questions which help to trigger the short-term memory whilst also assisting in retaining information long-term. I also teach multiple learning techniques and styles, which can be personalised to each student. After each session, if preferred, I will be happy to email parents/carers an informative summary on the things covered and how it has gone.
