About Lara
I studied Engineer for almost 3 years, but I gave up on it because I love teaching and talking about language and its power. Since we're talking about one-to-one classes, we have the chance to have personalized lessons in a way that learning will be fun! I have already taught classes about short stories, movies (such as Barbie), reality shows, business among other themes.
I have had the chance to work with different coordinators, to work by myself, to teach children, teenagers and adults. Teaching is truly my passion and as an immigrant and having English as a second language, I understand all troubles someone who is learning English might have along the way. I have experience teaching all ages in schools and English private courses. I like to prepare personalized classes according to my student's needs. A typical lesson would include working with all four skills, but some lessons will focus more on one of them in order to make the learner have more time to deeply develop expertise in it.
I am a passionate teacher, who loves to talk about multiculturalism, what has been happening worldwide, literature, reality shows, relatioships, work, food and both my and my students' personal tastes.
I am currently living in Toronto, Canada and have been having the opportunity to be in contact with people from different countries with different accents. That is certainly something that will also be part of my classes.
