About Shanzay
I professionally graduated full-time Hifz in 2023 with an interest not only in learning the Quran but in understanding it. However, my experience was traumatic due to the stress of learning and poor mental health management. I learned then the importance of holistic, patient, and people-centered teaching, making sure to help people so my experience is never repeated.
It is not only important for my students to be able to recite the Quran word-for-word—I want them to love it, to strengthen their deen and turn it into a lifelong habit.
I am financially stable and I focus not on paychecks but on people. At the end of the day, I want to make someone's life better and for them to feel closer to Allah SWT.

Asalmoalikum! I'm here to give men and women of all ages a chance to continue with, become introduced to, or return to the Qur'an in a patient and positive environment.
Lesson plans vary greatly by student, according to your pace, goals, and progress. I use proven memorization tactics and give a strong focus to tajweed. I'll also explain some of the meaning of the Holy Book, connecting verses to each other and providing real-life applications.
Mistakes are accepted and expected; I'll help you learn from them to build a lasting connection with the Qur'an. The person is just as important as the student, so I'll always remain patient and ask you how you're feeling before each lesson.
