About Nikita
My name is Nikita, and I am a friendly, patient, and reliable tutor who enjoys helping children learn and grow in confidence. I want to teach because I find it rewarding to see students understand new concepts and become more confident in their abilities. I believe every child deserves support that suits the way they learn, so I always aim to create a positive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and doing their best. My approach to tutoring is to create a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. I believe every child can succeed in maths with the right support and clear explanations.
I tailor each lesson to the student's needs, focusing on areas they find challenging while reinforcing concepts they have already learned. I use step-by-step explanations, worked examples, interactive activities, and practice questions to build both understanding and confidence. My goal is not only to help students improve their maths skills but also to develop problem-solving abilities and a positive attitude towards learning.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, although shorter or longer sessions can be arranged for younger students if preferred.
I am a high-achieving high school student who has received six academic awards, demonstrating my strong understanding of mathematics and commitment to academic excellence. While I am beginning my tutoring journey, I am patient, approachable, and passionate about helping younger students succeed.
My lessons are designed for primary school students, particularly those in Years 2 to 4 (approximately ages 7–9), whether they need extra support, want to build confidence, or are looking to extend their maths skills.
