About Francis
Hi, I’m a Year 12 student currently studying A Level Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science, with a predicted A in Maths. I have always enjoyed problem-solving and helping others understand difficult topics, which is one of the main reasons I wanted to become a tutor. Having studied GCSE Maths recently myself, I understand the areas students often struggle with and how stressful exams can feel. I want to help students build confidence, improve their understanding, and achieve the best grades they can in a supportive and encouraging environment.

My approach to tutoring is focused on building confidence as well as improving grades. As a current A Level student studying Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science, I understand the challenges students face because I have recently studied the same material myself. I aim to explain topics in a clear, patient, and approachable way, adapting lessons to each student’s learning style and pace. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions, so I create a supportive environment where mistakes are treated as part of the learning process. My goal is not only to help students succeed in exams, but also to help them genuinely understand and enjoy maths.
