About Taksh
My name is Taksh Mehta, and I was part of the first Year 7s, 8s and 9s to study at the Queensland Academy for Science, Mathematics and Technology. I am now in Year 12 and my final year studying the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, having already completed the Middle Years Program (MYP) with a 6.8 GPA from 10 subjects, and set to complete the IB Diploma with the same GPA.
However more importantly, I have been able to understand, communicate with and assist my peers throughout my high school academic journey and have found success in all subjects regularly. I’ve also recently had face-to-face tutoring experience with a handful of students over 6 months in the past year, allowing me to develop their skills and understanding using my perspective as a current student and my experience in studying for those subjects. I can effectively tutor students in Year 11 and below for their assignments and exams; my current higher level subjects are Mathematics AA HL (equivalent to Specialist and Methods in ATAR), Economics and Chemistry. Physics, Latin B and English are my standard level subjects, which I will equally be comfortable teaching younger students.
My biggest strength in tutoring is being able to understand my student and never overloading or moving too fast for them. Especially for the subject areas of Sciences, Mathematics or Economics, I am confident my guidance will be of great value. I am willing to negotiate price and study arrangements, such as face-to-face or online lessons for individuals or groups.

Currently have 7 long-term students and am looking for a few more. Recently helped prepare a Year 6 for Brisbane Girls Grammar selective entry, and she was successful in receiving a full scholarship.
I can effectively guide entrance exam preparation, various IB subjects, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Economics assignments and exams. Flexible and happy to discuss online, face-to-face and cheap group tutoring arrangements. My aim will be to reduce your stress and improve your mindset about academics, while making significant intellectual and academic progress.
