About Maria-Tishri
I am a visual artist and student with a passion for exploring the intersection of creative expression and human behavior. With a self-taught foundation in sketching and painting that began in 2014, I’ve spent over a decade refining my skills in charcoal, gouache, acrylics, and oil pastels. My work often delves into themes of identity, nostalgia, and social structures, reflecting my deep academic interest in Psychology and Sociology. Whether I’m developing large-scale projects on generational perspectives or curating a cohesive digital aesthetic, I view art as a vital tool for storytelling and social commentary.
Beyond the studio, I am an active collaborator with a background in event organization and a keen eye for fashion and photography. I believe in the power of a "visual diary" to process the world around us, and I bring that same curious, analytical energy to everything I do—from academic research to creative problem-solving. Currently finishing my high school journey while planning for a future of travel and exploration, I am constantly looking for new ways to bridge the gap between technical skill and meaningful, soulful expression.
