About Matthew
For more than 20 years I have worked in independent schools teaching computer science, first in New York City, and currently in Washington DC. Over that time, one of my biggest joys has been seeing students click with code and start to "get it." When your program finally runs the way you wanted it to, or a concept you've been struggling with finally makes sense, there is no better feeling. Those are the moments I strive for as an educator.

Perfect! Matthew is a great tutor. He brings a lot of structure to his lessons. His explanations and examples are very detailed, which will give you a clear understanding. I like that we immediately apply the material that is being taught. I appreciate that he is very patient and supportive of me, as I am starting from the bottom. Perfect! Mathew is an amazing tutor who helps me understand the materials from scratch. Answering all questions and giving very helpful explanation to understand the concepts. He also adds extra time in sessions if you need more help.

I work with Matthew teaching Computer Science and Maker topics in a K12 school. He is a very learner-centered teacher and has a nurturing attitude when it comes to student academic growth. He has attracted many students to computer science and maker-learning that wouldn't normally choose the subject.
