About Alex
Hi, I'm Alexander Silveri, and I want to tutor in order to utilize the knowledge that I have attained during my schooling years to help others achieve their academic goals. I have a genuine passion for mathematics and teaching, and this is something I am eager to share and foster within the lessons I teach, so students can enjoy the process of learning mathematics. This will help them do better, as students are usually more inclined to work hard at something they enjoy. I hope with me working with students they can improve their mathematical ability and enjoy the process along the way.

My methods of teaching usually include demonstrating concepts with examples so students can see how a concept works in action, rather than just theoretically, also asking questions about how they would approach questions to better build their understanding and thought process. My typical length of a lesson would be around 45 mins- 1 hour in order to focus on a small amount of content at a time. This way the students can learn at their own pace which will help them to retain more knowledge in the long run. My lessons would be mainly Mathematics for high school students from 7-12, mainly for 5.3 for junior, and Preliminary/HSC Advanced and Extension 1, As I have completed both courses with final marks of 88 and 90 respectively (83 in Extension 2 as well) I have had extensive experience helping and teaching younger students at my school with math, as well as some of my peers. I have also been a Crew Coach at McDonald's for around 2 and a half years, which involves training new members on the very specific and tedious procedures, making sure a high standard is held.
