About Mostafa
I’m a high school junior currently taking AP Calculus BC and studying three years ahead of the standard math track. Math has always been one of my strongest subjects, and I genuinely enjoy helping other people understand it. Over the past few years, I’ve regularly helped my classmates and friends work through difficult math concepts, and I’ve learned how to explain ideas in a way that feels clear and approachable. My goal as a tutor is to help students build real understanding and to hone their weakness in math into a strength. I work step-by-step with each student to strengthen their foundation, improve their confidence, and make challenging topics feel manageable. Whether a student wants to raise their grade, prepare for exams, or simply feel more secure in math, I’m committed to helping them get there.

My teaching method focuses on helping students truly understand the material instead of memorizing steps or formulas. I do this by guiding students through the reasoning behind each topic — including simplified proofs or explanations that show why a concept works. When students understand the “why,” they retain the material far better and become more confident problem-solvers.
For my lesson structure, I start by introducing the topic and checking which parts the student already understands. From there, we build upward: students explain what they know, we work together through the parts that are unclear, and we create clear, step-by-step reasoning or proofs that help solidify the concept. This approach helps students develop a deeper understanding rather than just learning procedures.
What sets me apart is that I’m close in age to my students, which makes communication easier and more comfortable compared to adult-aged tutors, but at the same time, I bring the same subject knowledge and expertise as adult-aged tutors, meaning that the student doesn't miss out on valuable knowledge they would get from an older tutor.
My lessons are designed for middle school and high school students who want to strengthen their understanding, improve their grades, and learn math in a way that really sticks.

Details
No fees for online tutoring since it is my preferred method of tutoring, but for face to face tutoring, there is a $5 traveling fee to cover the cost of my transportation. $15 hourly rate, 5 hour package deal for $50 ($10 hourly rate), and 10 hour package deal for $75 ($7.5 hourly rate).
