About Mahak
I am a patient and supportive tutor who has a strong understanding of math subjects. I also focus on helping students Algebra and Precalculus concepts rather than memorizing steps. I do step-by-step problems, adapting my teaching style to each student’s learning needs, creating a comfortable environment for them to ask questions. A typical lesson includes reviewing past material and practicing problems together until the student feels confident working independently. I focus on building strong problem-solving skills, and work through problems. My lessons are best suited for middle school, high school, and introductory college students taking Algebra or Precalculus courses, whether they need help with homework, test preparation, or improving their overall understanding of math.

My approach as a tutor is to make sure the student feels comfortable to ask questions and to make sure they feel supported. I will always break down each problem and go step-by-step to make sure that they grasp the main concept. A typical lesson would start with reviewing important concepts from previous lessons, especially those that the student struggled on. We will also be doing many practice problems, half of which they will be doing on their own. We will end each lesson with a quick review of all the important concepts learned so far. I am a patient person who adapts to the teaching habits of students. My lessons are for middle schoolers, high schoolers, and early college students who are currently taking Algebra and Precalc.
