About Poppy
I am a high school graduate who is taking a gap year before moving to the UK to study English Literature at University. I have recently received my IB diploma, and am passionate about helping young people achieve their academic goals. My enthusiasm for English is evident in my teaching style and I am a patient and encouraging tutor. I understand the importance of academic improvement and success for students and parents, and am dedicated to supporting young people in their study of English.

My lessons involve reviewing course work and preparing for exams as well as developing general comprehension and writing skills. I help my students with their ability to analyse and understand texts and converting this into a succinct and clear essay structure. I have recently completed the IB, receiving a score of 40.5 and an ATAR of 97.30, including a band 7 in Higher Level English Language and Literature. I am therefore able to specialise in tutoring IB students, however I am also equipped to teach students in primary and high school who are looking for extra support in English. My lessons are typically 1-1.5 hours and I am able to teach in person for those based near Mosman NSW, or online.
