About Francis
Hi! I’m a fully registered secondary mathematics teacher from New Zealand with over 10 years of teaching experience. I’ve been tutoring students since I was a student myself, working with everything from primary math and fractions to algebra, trigonometry, calculus and differential equations.
My particular strength is helping students who find math difficult or have lost confidence. I’m patient, calm and friendly, and I’m good at breaking complicated ideas into simple steps until that “Ohhh, I see!” moment happens.
My goal isn't necessarily to turn every student into a math genius. I want students to understand the math well enough to stop being afraid of it, survive their exams, and become more confident and independent learners.
I offer online individual and small-group lessons, and I’m happy to work with students from different curricula and countries.

Small group classes (2 - 8 students): focusing on concepts that students generally find challenging, such as fractions, negatives, equations, quadratics, trigonometry and calculus. These classes usually have 6 - 10 sessions in total.
Individual tutoring: tailored to meet individual needs.
