About Reece
I am 18 years old and I am a high school senior. I excel in my English classes and am part of the extended learning program in my district. I am involved in speech, theater, band, and choir. Outside of learning, I really enjoy music, which I think can be helpful when thinking about writing. During the school year, my schedule is fairly limited, but I will likely be able to make something work almost every day of the week. I hope to meet with you soon!

My approach is to make learning engaging, supportive, and tailored to each student's needs. I understand that students are still building foundational skills, so I intend to focus on clear explanations and exercises to boost their confidence. What I've found works best is step-by-step guidance, making sure that they understand one step before moving on to the next. I offer constructive feedback to make sure that each student is giving the best effort they can. A typical lesson plan would be a quick warmup with some writing or speaking, then exploring a topic such as essay structure or storytelling. Then comes practice, in which a student will show me what they've learned by writing, analyzing, or engaging in discussion. As a high school senior, I can relate to younger students because I know the challenges that they face. I do my best to create a comfortable learning environment in which students can feel safe to express themselves.
