About Maya
I am a senior in high school. I scored a 1540 on the SAT by designing a foolproof study plan. By sharing this study plan, I am eager to help other students get their dream SAT scores. I have been teaching sewing for 3+ years. I founded a sewing summer camp which ran for two years and received glowing testimonials. In my free time, I like to read, watch physics documentaries, and play guitar.

During my SAT class, students will design a custom SAT study plan that’s tailored to their needs. Students should take a BlueBook practice test before the session starts to assess their skills.
Note: This class is meant to develop a study plan which outlines how the student will study. The bulk of the student’s studying will be after class, on their own time.
The study plan has three parts: Reading & Writing, Math, and Refinement. The first two meetings will be an introduction to the Reading & Writing and Math SAT sections and the rest of the meetings will focus on refining SAT skills. Studying will take place in a physical notebook and/or online document.
Reading & Writing and Math meetings:
- In these meetings, we will go over each problem type’s method to answer.
- We will solve practice problems together.
- We will then go over the plan for practicing these problems after class to optimize skill-building.
- After the student finishes studying the Math part, they will take a BlueBook practice test before the Refinement meeting.
Refinement meetings:
- We will analyze the student’s practice test score together and go over the questions answered wrong.
- We will design a study plan for future rounds of SAT practice that focuses on targeting and refining the student’s weaknesses.
- After each meeting ends, the student will take another practice test and repeat the study process until they get a practice test score they’re confident with.
