About Gabriela
As a dedicated tutor with a passion for fostering literacy skills in young learners, I teach young learners how to read and write effectively. As a high school student who is strong in English reading and writing subjects, I focus on building confidence in my students while guiding them through the foundational skills necessary for academic success. My teaching methodology focuses on creating a fun and engaging learning environment where my students can feel comfortable expressing themselves as well as making mistakes. Each lesson typically begins with a short review of previously learned material to reinforce their understanding and for me to get a feel of where they're at. I introduce new concepts through storytelling, phonics games, or writing exercises so my students remain engaged and have fun learning! I make sure to provide my students with constructive feedback throughout the lesson, and conclude the session with a recap of what we learned. My goal is to make sure each student feels accomplished and excited about reading and writing at the end of each session!
