About Sydney
I’m in 11th grade. I’m currently taking calculus. I live in NYC. I’m good at math and can help kids with their homework. I used to work in a Hebrew school where I would be one of the teachers teaching kids how to read Hebrew, so I have experience in education, plus I always help my brother with his homework and I’m interested in helping other kids. I know that it is so hard to get homework done and learn in a remote learning environment. I want to help kids like me that struggle with that.

I first make sure that I thoroughly understand the material. Then I approach it step by step. I think “what has to be done first” then “what has to be done second.” I think breaking it up into these details is much simpler to understand, as opposed to looking at the big picture or the reason behind everything, which can be so complicated and confusing. I know from experience that it’s easier to get work done while working with someone else, so I help make sure kids stay focused by gently reminding them that they can finish this.
