About Ishaan
I am currently a sophomore in high school with a 4.0 GPA and in 5 Honors/AP classes. From a very young age, I have been drawn to technology and problem-solving. I have always performed well in STEM subjects including math and science, and have participated in a number of different camps related to technology and programming in addition to school. I also participated in a math program through Kumon when I was younger, ranking in the top 150 in North America for my grade. Outside of academics, I am on the varsity tennis team, play piano and violin, and participate in my school's Model UN program, where I have won two outstanding delegate awards so far. I enjoy going to the gym and understand the importance of consistency and discipline. I am a problem solver and strive to share ideas and knowledge in an enjoyable way. As a student myself, I will be able to connect well with other students and provide a foundation of knowledge that will stick with them as they advance in their academic journey.

My goal is to help students not only understand HOW things work but to help them understand WHY. Formulas and methods work up to a certain extent, but the best way to strive academically is to understand patterns and foundations of subjects. As a student myself, I will be able to provide insight into these topics that many older tutors cannot match, simply because of outdated methods and lack of practice.
A typical lesson will include breaking down problems into simple steps and walking the student through them to ensure their understanding, rather than them simply memorizing answers. As I have recently taken many of these subjects, I will be able to share my experience with them to add to their thinking.
These lessons are for middle and high schoolers looking to further their understanding of math up to Precalculus and science including Biology and Chemistry.
