About Fran
I have spent the last 13 years gaining knowledge and experience in education, as a chemistry teacher, tutor and senior leader. I have a degree in Chemistry and Forensic Science, and an MBA in Senior Leadership.
Chemistry is not an easy subject to master, and I enjoy helping students realise their potential, and empowering them to succeed in their studies.

You will receive bespoke lessons, tailored to suit your ability and learning style, with active and regular exam practice within the session and as homework in your own time. I have experience of a variety of exam boards, which I ensure my lessons are tailored to. The lessons are designed to be a combination of my teaching, and your active participation, with regular checking of progress and understanding.
I am results driven, wanting my students to achieve the best grades possible. We will go through and try out various techniques for revision through the course of the sessions, to ensure you are thoroughly prepared for your exams.
Lessons typically will last 1hr and will be online, though the length can be changed to suit different requirements and schedules.
I have a degree in Chemistry and Forensic Science, and an MBA in Senior Leadership. I have also worked for a successful EdTech Company, have co-written textbooks, and have delivered CPD for other teachers, on how to maximise the results their students can achieve. I have also been an examiner for various boards at both A level and GCSE, so I know exactly what the exam questions are asking and how they want students to respond.
Exam board experience:
I have taught and/or tutored the following boards at A level:
AQA, OCR A, Edexcel and CIE Chemistry. I have taught and/or tutored AQA GCSE Chemistry (Single and Combined Science).
I have taught the BTEC Level 3 Applied Science course.
Lessons are generally for GCSE students (Year 9 - 11) or A level students (Years 12 and 13), though I am willing to tutor Key Stage 3 Chemistry or primary science also.
