About Celina
My lessons are carefully structured, supportive and tailored to the individual needs of each student. Lessons typically last 60 minutes, though longer sessions can be arranged when appropriate, particularly closer to examinations. Each lesson is planned in advance and follows a clear structure, combining explanation, guided practice and exam-style questions. I place strong emphasis on understanding how exams work, helping students become familiar with question types, timing and expectations, so that they feel confident and well prepared.
My teaching style is calm, patient and encouraging. I adapt my approach to suit each child’s learning style, breaking concepts down clearly and revisiting areas of difficulty until they are fully understood. Alongside building academic skills, I focus on developing confidence, resilience and independent thinking, which are essential for success in exams and beyond.
I have over 2000 hours of one-to-one tutoring experience, including working with home-educated students and delivering effective online lessons. I hold a BA in Modern Languages from Lincoln College, Oxford, an MSc in Management from Imperial College London, and an MA from the London Film School. This varied academic background allows me to engage well with students with both academic and creative interests.
I also have a number of past papers that I’ve created that I’m happy to share with parents.
Lessons are suitable for children preparing for competitive entrance exams as well as those who need steady, confidence-building support to reach their full potential.
