About Kate
I am a neurodivergent home-ed mum of a ND child with decades of experience as a specialist teacher, SEND leader, and SENDCo in mainstream schools and specialist settings. As both a front-line practitioner with our my neurodivergence, and as a parent to neurodivergent children, I have witnessed first-hand from all perspectives the deteriorating picture for neurodivergent children particularly in terms of their mental wellbeing and school-based resilience and the corresponding impact on their families. I now work directly with families to provide expert support to those who are falling through the gaps in our school system.

I believe every child is unique and take a strengths-based approach to identifying and supporting gaps in learning. I am qualified and experienced in using evidence-based assessments and interventions, and continuously engage with the latest research to keep my expertise in line with current thinking. I am an advocate of neuro-affirming practice, and work holistically and collaboratively to support every child to 'embrace their stripes'.
