About Genevieve
I am a passionate and diligent English tutor with a breath of expert knowledge. I have two first class degrees (BA and MA) in English Literature from the University of Warwick. I achieved the highest mark of my year group in both degrees. For A Level, I was awarded the grades of A* A* B in English Literature, English Language, and Theatre Studies. I now work part-time as a tutor and part-time in the admissions department at a University. As such, I feel confident I can provide both academic tuition, and insider knowledge and advice for university applications.
I have eight years' experience of varied mentor and tutoring roles. I currently tutor English language speaking, English Literature GCSE, and A Level English Literature, but feel confident I can also provide University-level tuition. As well as academic tutoring, I have worked as a mentor for Young Carers, for Widening Participation organisations, and have also taught singing for 3 years. I have a passion for learning, and for my subjects of expertise, and I feel strongly that - with the right help - any student can achieve their goals.

I want you to love your subject. I want you to feel enthused, passionate, and to find something in the subject that you really care about. My parents are both disability support advisers at a secondary school, and so they have given me a breadth of knowledge on different learning styles. Because of that, my approach to teaching is tailored on my students' strengths. I will ask that before we work together you send me some work, then we will discuss your various interests, dislikes, strengths, and weaknesses and tailor a plan in how we approach the work. I look at the syllabus, and use insider knowledge to find out how your assessments are marked, and, from then on, we can work together to evaluate strategies that will ensure you exceed these requirements.
