About Nicholas
Singing is my passion, it's more than a hobby or career, it's my FIRST LOVE! In the early years, honing my singing talent and skills, I was handpicked to join as the chorister with National Boys’ Choir of Australia (NBCA). My musical and voice studies intensified when enrolled at Balwyn High School’s voice/singing program, whereby I was presented with ample performing opportunities at school, festivals, Eisteddfods and charity events. Under the guidance of Melanie White, at age fourteen, I won 2nd Prize at the 2019 Music Society of Victoria’s Ron McNicol Vocal Award (age 18 & under), Eisteddfod By The Bay (2019 & 2017), 1st Prize at the 2018 Balwyn High School Music Scholarship and 3rd Prize at the 2016 Junior Vocal Melbourne International Music Competition at Deakin Edge. Broadening my skills and experience, I have also attended voice lessons with Greg Mills, a musical director who has produced artists like Guy Sebastian, Marina Prior, The Young Divas & Wendy Matthews. I am a strong believer in steady progression, starting from strong voice techniques and fundamentals. And of course, singing lessons should be fun, happy and enriching.
I adopt a holistic approach in coaching singing and I have qualified experience in teaching all genres, including piano skills (leisure/classical), music theory as well as song-writing.
My lessons will focus on the fundamentals of voice and breathing techniques, to uncover your natural singing voice, mastering voice control, power and strength. Henceforth, unleash your true singing potential and confident performance styles.
Additionally, I also help singers learn and navigate through different styles of singing and maintaining vocal health.
Lessons are specifically tailored for the child/individual, learning at their comfortable pace, so as to gain confidence, self development and personal growth.
Having studied and highly skilled in both piano and singing performance, lessons can be combined as "voice with piano/keys" or "song-writing with piano/keys".
With over 10 years of singing experience, I aim to coach and inculcate in my students an attitude of elegant performance with strong techniques and share the music whole-heartedly and passionately.
In my performance journey, I have won many awards and I also love the challenge to continuously upskill my knowledge with graded exams (currently AMEB Singing Repertoire Grade 5).
I am fluent in coaching pop music, classical, jazz, RnB and contemporary styling ~ teaching pitch, key, vibrato from beginners to advanced.
I will help build on your strengths, fill in the gaps and work on overcoming weaknesses at your own pace. With every lesson, you will improve and experience gradual breakthroughs.

Best guy in the world!
My son has learned piano from him and I have found he is kind, friendly and patient with kids. He also has a great attitude and highly skilled in teaching the piano.
