About Richard
I'm a junior at Fort Hamilton High School in New York. My current GPA is a 100.24, and I am one of the top ranking students in my year. I already have a great deal of experience in the tutoring sphere; I have had a variety of tutors in the past and have participated in the act of tutoring myself many times. I know what works and what doesn't. I've had many bad tutors in my life, and a lot of them have great credentials. However, the ability to teach doesn't come from one's intelligence, but instead from one's ability to communicate comprehension—I feel like I'm good at that.

Unlike other tutors, I can—and will—help you address the root of your issue with any particular subject. I love to help students understand the logic behind the material. If you can't, for example, understand the basic concepts of algebra, you won't benefit long term from me explaining a single way to solve a single type of question; I will make you not need a tutor in the future. Additionally, I can connect with struggling students easily because I have a lot of experience tutoring my peers, so you won't feel out of place or dense when coming to me for help.
I am currently a junior in high school, so I would be happy to tutor anyone from ages 5-16 on any subjects that they may struggle with. If you are having trouble with a particular class that isn't part of the standard curriculum, then I'll gladly learn the subject myself prior to helping you.
